     The Junior Smash Tennis League was formed to give parents a break from the frustrations of driving across counties to compete in league matches for their juniors. Much like the relief granted by parents of www.elearners.com graduates about not having to travel cross-country for the ceremony.
Tennis Moms rejoice!  Your junior player can now compete on a Boys or Girls team and do it with the conveneince of staying in the county!  You are on the way to adding sevreral hours back into your week.  Here is how it works. Players participating in the league must take part in a Bridgemill Junior Instructional program during March and April 2010

 

  • The League is run similar to the local county youth basketball league
  • Players register online
  • After the registration deadline, a draft occurs, placing players on teams with an emphasis on creating parity
  • Team parents are then assigned their team ( Team parents will communicate via email )
  • Line-ups are done prior to the season, all players know when they are in the line-up and when they are out.
  • Player rotation in line-ups is done fairly and as evenly as possible
  • For the Spring 2010 season, all matches will be played at Bridgemill Tennis Club
  • Format is Boys and Girls Singles and Doubles
  • Match times are either Thursday 4:30-5:30pm or 5:30-6:30pm.  ( Team parent needs to be there for 1 hour only! )
  • All weekly team results will be recorded and updated on this webpage each week
  • Players bring a new can of balls to each match ( winner keeps unopened can ) 
  • After 7 weeks of competition, a 1 week playoff will be held for all teams. Trophies to league champions!
  • Immediately following the playoff week, a league pizza party will be held and the league champs will be crowned!
             
 
  • Age requirements are 8 to 15
     
  • Cost : $37/Bridgemill Member, $42 per non Member : League Fee per player / Instructional Fee $65/month (1 hour class), $97 per month ( 1.5 hour class) per week ( March - April ) 
  • Play begins week of March 8th, 2010

( Beginner-Adv. Beginner ) 
Monday 4:30-5:30pm ( 8/9 start )
Tuesday 4:30-5:30pm ( 8/10 start )
Wednesday 4:30-5:30 ( 8/11 start )
Cost : $65 per month

 
Smash Clinic ( ages 10 to 16 ) 1.5 hours per week
( Adv. Beginner-Adv. Intermediate, Smash League veterans  ) 
Monday 5:30-7:00pm ( 8/9 start )
Tuesday 5:30-7:00pm ( 8/10 start )
Wednesday 5:30-7:00 ( 8/11 start )
Cost : $97 per month
